Who is PKR Web Solutions

A Drupal web site design and development company located in Independence, MN, a western suburb of Minneapolis, providing professional and affordable websites to non-profits, individuals and small businesses.

Pam Reed started her career developing user interface applications for various large companies.  In 2004, she started applying her skills to web site development using basic HTML programming.  Then in 2008 she made a discovery that changed her career path – Drupal.  After some initial evaluation of what Drupal could do, she poured her energy into learning Drupal and in 2009 developed her first website using Drupal. In 2009, she formally created a business to specialize in Drupal-based website development.  This business, which she named PKR Web Solutions, is born out of her love of programming and a desire to help people create web sites that bring success to whatever goals they have.  With Drupal, Pam discovered that she can focus on creating the website designs and allow her clients to easily take an ownership in maintaining and adding content to the site.

Pam is primary web designer and works directly with clients to design and develop the website.  She has a degree in computer science and spent most of her career in desktop and web-based application development.  During that time, she always had a reputation for working closely with the application users to ensure it would match the way they would use it.  This customer-focused approach to software development continues in developing a close relationship with all of her clients to develop applications that best meet the needs of the users.  Pam has a very deep knowledge of the underlying web-development coding (php, html, css, Drupal), and has many years of experience in user interface optimization and graphic designs.  She is also experienced in web site maintenance and search engine optimization.

Work philosophy

Pam's goal is to create a high quality website that is done right the first time.  She works closely with clients to develop a website plan that will meet their current needs and allow for flexibility to meet their needs into the future.  Her collaborative approach ensures that the general feel, navigation and “look” of the site are exactly what the client wants and needs. Knowledge and understanding of the web development process are key to developing the best website, so Pam is willing to take the time to work with clients and explain any and all aspects of web design.
